NU Career Services
The Career Services team offers quality career and internship resources to help students and alumni identify and fulfill their career goals. They will help you define your unique potential for success and foster lifelong professional and career development skills. They offer innovative workshops, exceptional support, expanded employment opportunities, and community partnerships.
Careers Services support is available in person and online. They also have a job portal that connects you with employers and enables you to easily apply for open positions and internship opportunities.
Not only will you be able to search for jobs within the portal, but you now have the ability to make appointments with the Career Services Team through our appointment scheduling feature.
1. Click "Advising" on the left hand side and select "Make an Appointment"
2. Click "Add Appointment" and select the campus closest to you
3. Choose an available advisor and time slot
4. Select your advising topic and appointment type
The Bob Hope Veterans Support Program offers one-on-one career support, assistance translating military experience and skills into language employers understand, links to a network of employers, and a “foot-in-the-door” with potential employers.
• Be a post September 11, 2001 veteran transitioning from active or reserve duty
• Intend to work in the San Diego or Orange County areas
• Have an Honorable, General, and Other-Than-Honorable discharge
The Rosie Network - Small Business Ownership Support
The Rosie Network's mission is to build stronger military families by developing entrepreneurial programs and support services that empower active-duty, veterans and military spouses to realize the American Dream of small business ownership. Their programs were developed by and for transitioning service members, veterans and military spouses looking to launch and/or grow a small business.
They have Rosie Chapters in cities across the country as well as the Service2CEO Military Entrepreneurship Program to support budding entrepreneurs with a supportive learning environment and a free award-winning 16-week training program. At the conclusion of the program, graduates present their pitch to community and business leaders in their areas.
