2-1-1: A phone number that can be dialed in any county in the United States that will direct individuals towards various social service and community resources to assist with things like food resources, utility assistance, connection to shelters and/or safe parking programs, housing eviction prevention, etc.

Legal Aid Society of San Diego - Eviction Clinic for San Diego County Courts
We help people (first-come, first-served) prepare an answer to an Unlawful Detainer (Eviction) lawsuit against them.
NOTE: Come in right away, as you may only have 5 days to file your answer, from the time you were served with the lawsuit papers. We do not handle legal representation at this clinic, but, if you qualify, you can get a free lawyer.

The Legal Aid Society of San Diego, Inc. (LASSD) is a nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services to lower-income San Diego residents. They assist with health, housing, family law, immigration, and many other legal matters.

The Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) of the San Diego County Bar Association has been connecting the community with qualified, pre-screened local lawyers and legal resources. For most legal areas, you can participate in a 30 minute consultation for free or get referred to a Modest Means Program if you are eligible.
