SAMHSA’s Disaster Distress Helpline provides 24/7, 365-day-a-year crisis counseling and support to people experiencing emotional distress related to natural or human-caused disasters.

Red Cross provides a wide range of services and support for those who have been impacted by a disaster. If you are in need of assistance you can call to learn more about what services are provided as well as search open shelters. You can also list yourself as safe and find loved ones too.

2-1-1: A phone number that can be dialed in any county in the United States that will direct individuals towards various social service and community resources to assist with things like food resources, utility assistance, connection to shelters and/or safe parking programs, housing eviction prevention, etc.

Many counties also have online databases, which allow you to search your county's local resources. You can locate your local 2-1-1 here.

TimelyCare is a free virtual mental health and well-being program for students. This service will provides students access to:

• •Scheduled Counseling regardless of where you live in the US (up to 12 individual sessions per year August-July)


• •Unlimited access to 24/7 mental health support through the TalkNow option


• •Self-care videos (yoga, meditation, etc.)

Students will be able to access TimelyCare in a variety of ways (SSO chicklet, www.timelycare.com/nationaluniversity, and the TimelyCare app) using their student email address.

Whether you’re anxious or overwhelmed, you’ll be able to talk to a licensed provider from your smartphone or any web-enabled device. Licensed providers are available to offer mental health support via phone or secure video visits.
